I'm diving into PEEK chemical compatibility specifically with phenol-related chemicals like bisphenol acetone. Any advice or resources would keep me from wandering in the dark.
Yeeah, PEEK is a bit of a mixed bag with phenol based compounds. The chart might just be the guiding light I need to stay out of trouble@anti-apollo
PEEK is a tough customer re: chemical resistance but phenol based compounds can test its limits. It holds up well against most organic solvents but bisphenol acetone might cause some swelling or degradation depending on concentration and temperature. Checking a chemical compatibility chart would be a smart move if you're working with high exposure.
Certainly trying to keep things from going haywire that's for sure. Bisphenol acetone is the main one on my radar for this project. It's your best bet to keep things from going sideways with PEEK and those chemicals. What phenol compounds are you working with, just curious? @anti-apollo
