My client wants me to make a replacement for an old chiller plant and make it a little bigger. will include new cooling tower chemical treatment plus the water treatment.
She's really interested in trying nonchemical ways to treat the water instead of the usual chemicals.
She thinks it might save water (and money on the sewer bill), be easier to manage without all the tracking and worrying about spills, cost less in the long run, and help prevent that Legionella stuff. Make sense, right?
I'm trying to figure out if these nonchemical water treatment methods are actually any good.
I've been doing a ton of reading and talking to people to find the right methods, although some are amazing, others sound like snake oil.
Has anyone here ever used these nonchemical water treatments for the cooling towers?
What was your experience? Did they work well, or were they a pain? Would love to hear about what you think!
